Mansi & Deer
Chairman of the village council of Burmantovo Mihail Ananyevich Mokrushin, character witness for Mansi (Case files 221-221) and Petr Yakimovich Bahtiyarov (Case files 225-226) mentioned that every Mansi in the area lost half of their deer herds to a illness "kopytka" (necrobacteriosis - ed. note) and wolves appeared to feed on the dead deer.
The long stick that shepherds use to herd the deer is called a trochee.
