The witness showed I was the chairman of the board of the sports club UPI I have been working since 1955. At our club there is a tourist section, which since early 1959 is headed by Comrade. Martyshev, before him this section was headed by Blinov. In the management of the sports club for the sports and tourist work was answered by student Doroshenko, who also died in the group of comrade. Dyatlova.

The routes and tasks of each tourist hike are developed by the tourist section, which hikes of II and III difficulty categories are submitted for approval by the city route commission. This commission is headed by Korolev. The routing commission considers such questions: the route itself, the readiness of the participants in the trek and the leader of the group, checks the equipment and the provision of the group. According to the instruction, lists of equipment and food are checked. After this, a protocol is compiled in 3 copies, of which: 1 copy. remains at the route commission, 2 copies. - is transferred to the controlling body, i.e. in the city committee of physical culture. 3rd copy. must be submitted to the institution that organizes the trek.

Our equipment was issued at the permission of the institute's routing commission, which in December 1958, in January 1959, was headed by the instructor Milman; the chairman of the board of the sports club. Delivery of inventory, i.ะต. permission, was engaged in the student Blinov. He is currently traveling to Ivdel on the scene. The trade union committee of the institute, according to our submission, finances

tourist trips.

The route book is also approved by the routing commission and is located at the senior group. Copies of the route book are made only for reports, and not for monitoring, because the document on the basis of which the movement of the group is monitored is the routing commission protocol.

The route of the Dyatlov group was developed by the participants of the group itself and was approved by the city route committee, but Dyatlov did not leave a copy of the protocol of the route commission in the sports club. Milman told me later that he had asked Diatlov to leave the record and the Dyatlov had promised to bring him to him, but took him away with him. In the sports club, and personally I knew that according to the protocol the group was supposed to be from the village. Seeing sending a telegram, but I did not know the exact date. I knew that the group Dyatlov in the mountains. Sverdlovsk was to return on February 15, 1959.

I personally did not receive the route sheets from the group leaders before and now I do not get it, because this business is usually dealt with by the tourist section. The protocol of the route commission for Dyatlova was to be taken when issuing the equipment. Who gave out the equipment, I do not remember.

I did not know the conditions of the area where the group of Dyatlov left, because the route commission is in charge of this matter, but I know that Dyatlov was in the Vizha region.

According to the conclusion of the route commission, as well as the commission of the Central Council of Sport Society "Burevestnik" and the Russian Council of Physical Education

the members of the group Dyatlov and the Dyatlov himself were sufficiently prepared to make a trek through the Northern Urals.

A member of the Bureau of the Tourist Section, Blinov, told me that the Dyatlov group in Vijay would return around 14-15 February 1959, Yudin allegedly said about this, who was also part of the Dyatlov group, but because of illness on the way back. Therefore, the sport club reason for the non-return of tourists to the group Dyatlov began to be interested only after February 15, 1959.

In search of the group Dyatlov people were sent only on February 20, 1959, I also went to Ivdel on February 20, 1959. Immediately on February 16, people were not sent on the phone because they found out by phone - they contacted Vizhay only on the night of 17 February, February 17, then, on February 17, I called the Central Council of the Burevestnik Society and asked for permission to use the aircraft, but they refused to do so. On February 18 I called Vizhay again. I was informed that a group of local people was preparing to see a group. Subsequently it turned out that this is the Karelin group. February 19, 1959 agreed with the airport to allocate for the search for missing aircraft and helicopter, only after that on the morning of February 20, I and Blinov flew to Ivdel.

I do not have add-ons. The record of my words is written correctly, I read it. The interrogation was interrupted at 15:00.
